Botanical name: Ficus benghalensis

The Ficus Audrey has quickly become a favourite among indoor plant lovers. Known for its elegant, oval-shaped leaves with a soft, velvety texture, this ficus grows upright with a neat, tree-like form. It’s often compared to the Fiddle Leaf Fig but is far more forgiving, making it a fantastic option for anyone wanting a statement plant that doesn’t demand constant attention.

Ficus Audrey Care Guide

☀️ Light:

Place your Audrey in bright, indirect light. It tolerates some morning sun but should be protected from harsh midday rays. Too little light will slow growth and thin out the foliage.

💧 Watering:

Water thoroughly when the top 3–4cm of soil feels dry. Like other ficus plants, it prefers evenly moist soil but hates sitting in water. Always ensure proper drainage.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity:

Thrives in normal household conditions, ideally between 18–28°C. It tolerates average humidity well, though a light misting in drier months keeps the leaves fresh.

🪴 Soil & Repotting:

For best results, plant in our Aroid Mix or make your own with Barks Unlimited Potting Soil and Perlite. Add Bark Chips when repotting to keep roots healthy and well-aerated. Repot every 2–3 years as the plant grows taller.

🍃 Fertiliser:

The Audrey is a steady grower and benefits from feeding. Use Controlled Release Fertiliser every few months and supplement with an Organic Fertiliser during the growing season to encourage dense, leafy growth.

🐛 Pests:

Like most ficus plants, it may attract scale or spider mites if stressed. Wipe leaves regularly and treat with insecticidal spray if pests appear.
